Are you in the right job?

Are you in the right job?

Do you find it hard to stay motivated when at work, or does the time just fly by? Is your work-life-balance on point, or dragging you down? These are some signs that you’re in the right (or wrong) career for you;

How to know if you are in the right job …

You Feel Great

You Feel Great

Statistics show that the average person will spend no less than a third of their lives working… that’s a huge chunk of our time. With that in mind, however, it’s not surprising that people who are happy in their work are happier in general; if you feel good at your work then you’re probably in the right job.

Likewise, if you don’t find it hard to get up for your job in the morning, generally, you can take this as a good sign! The early morning snooze war between reality and your desire to stay in bed tends to occur if you really don’t want to go to work.

You have had a promotion recently

You have had a promotion recently

If you’re in the right job for you the chances are that you’ll be good at it; if you’ve had a promotion within the last two years, or have had a raise, it’s likely that you’re in the right job for you. The ability to grow within your role is so important to happiness.

You respect and admire your superiors

Respect and admire your superiors

If you find that you can really respect and admire your boss and supervisors, and that you get on with them as people, then you could be in the right job for you! You want to be in a place where you are treated with respect, and given opportunity to grow.

You are generous

You are generous

People who’re happy in their work, who feel appreciated, well-compensated, and who receive generosity from their superiors are more likely to be generous to others. If you’re determined to appreciate others, if you feel able to be generous, then you know that you’re in a good place in your life, and that means that most likely you have the right job for you.
